The play of light and shadow in our everyday life

The duality of light and shadow is so significant in our lives but how does it impact us on a daily basis? The everyday life is often perceived to be mundane, repetitive and fast-paced. I believe that light and shadow has the ability to evoke one’s emotions in a space, even in these very mundane spaces.

'Re-imagined Spaces' aims to  investigate the notion of light and shadow, particularly in our everyday life and how it can affect in representing a space. Through a selection of ordinary and common spaces, the projects questions the possibilities of how these spaces can be re-imagined when light and shadow is used as the driving force of the space.

This documentation is conducted to explore the existence of light and shadow in our daily life. Through it, discover how light and shadow can affect our spatial experience. Ideas from the collection of photographs from the site visits are then translated into simple study models.
